Congratulations! On Thursday, June 21, Old Sturbridge Village will honor two colleagues of mine: Margaret Burke, Executive Director Emerita of the Concord Museum and Dennis Fiori, President Emeritus of the Massachusetts Historical Society, with the 2018 President's Award. Burke and Fiori are the first married couple to receive this prestigious award:
"The Old Sturbridge Village President's Award honors those individuals whose work, like that of Old Sturbridge Village, nrings meaning, relevance and inspiration to the public through the exploration of New England life and history, and whose scholarship has had a significant impact on the museum field."
Past recipients of the award include Abbott Lowell Cummings, Jonathan Fairbanks, Brock Jobe, and Jane Nylander.
